    San Jose Gun Show -- October 4 & 5

So on another thread someone was wondering whether the San Jose Gun Show was gone. Last week in the San Jose Mercury News -- Code of the West ran ads saying the show was this coming weekend (October 4 & 5) and they were now running it.

Thought I would give it a shot, but not expecting much.

The TS gun show event coordinators are no longer there. The TS family run company was the one that did the San Jose gun show for many years. It was really nothing to speak of.

What is different this time around is the Code of the West productions has now taken over doing the "San Jose gun show".

As to the difference ... I should expect to see a slightly larger venue. Code of the West also does the Vallejo, (decent) ... and the Antioch, (pretty poor from what I have heard) shows.

I will be going to this show on the 4th of October just to check it out.

I just went over to the Miwall Corp gun show calendar website. It looks like they will be there.

Since the Miwall Corp will be there; I should expect to see a better quality gun show than the ones TS put on in the past. I only went to one San Jose gun show in the past. It was pretty minimal and bad ... I would have expected the TS family to do a better job attracting the larger vendors like Miwall.

Code of the West has taken over TS Gun Shows and this show is definitely larger than those of TS! The show is located in the large Pavilion Hall. Miwall is there and they brought many pallets of ammo! There are also other ammunition vendors and many others that are new to the San Jose show. If you've been to the Vallejo show, you will see familiar faces. From what I saw, more parts and less crap. This is looking very promising for future San Jose Gun Shows. The $10 admission is good for both days too!

        Ammo prices are as follows.

        Miwall reloads
        9mm $85.00/500
        .40 $95.95/500
        .45 $145.95/500
        .223 $149.99/500

        12ga #8 win $59.99/case.

No lines for ammo and they are stocked up.

I parked for free. Apparently one of the local mosques was having a service and I was between two carloads of worshipers so the attendant didn't charge me.

I found some pistol powder. A four pound jug of Vihtavuori 320 and a 1lb jug of 340. Plus I bought some Wolf Match Extra .22 long rifle for $79 I think and some Speer .22 magnums for $17.95.
