    San Jose District 4 council

Friends, a first time voter here (recently naturalized) and would vote "only" pro-second amendment candidates.

I tried to search for candidate backgrounds, but not sure where they stand in terms of gun rights.

Any advise is appreciated, the list of candidate is available at

First, congratulations on becoming a US citizen! I'm not familiar with any of the candidates but the website listed by their name should give an indication on their stance. Be aware they are marketing themselves to as wide a population as possible so they probably won't be very specific. You can probably contact them from their website so you can send an email (or regular post mail) with your exact question. Most won't have a voting record to check against since they weren't in politics before. A small warning; this is San Jose so be prepared for none of them to be pro-2A.

Hopefully this gets you started in the right direction. I applaud your desire to be an informed voter!

      thanks Scott

The details are very sparse and I may have to infer if the candidate is really pro-gun. As per your suggestion, have written to all candidates and will see which response is clean and clear.

I found candidate Johnny Lee supported by Ron Paul, https://www.facebook.com/RonPaulSanJose and at least seem to be pro-freedom.

Khoa Ngyuen looks like he may be a good choice. Police Officers tend to be pro gun, although not always the case. In any case, doubt he would be overtly anti-gun. I am guessing, though. Call him up. I'm sure he would, or any of the candidates would talk to you
