Can't wait for this. Hopefully it'll be open early next year. Beats having to drive all the way to Manteca to go shop. Seriously, why would they have ever put one in Manteca anyways?

Rocklin is about 20 minutes for me, but I'm glad they'll be coming to the area.

Anyone hear anymore about the Sportsman's Warehouse locating to Sunrise at the old K-Mart location (close to HWY-50) ??

        +1 to both of these.

My gun store loop is going to be quite long when they both open.

My understanding is that the new Sportsman's in Rancho will be a 2nd (slightly smaller) store, for the Sacramento area.

With the new Sportsman's opening in Chico this month and now with Bass Pro opening in Rocklin too... I think I might be putting some miles on the jeep.

Sacramento has been long overdue in receiving a bass pro shop (or Cabelas). We have a thriving bass fishing community here, so this will be welcomed. When the Sac rail yard bass pro shop plan fell through, it was a letdown.

And im not a huge fan of Sportsmans warehouse. It's just a XL Big 5 sporting goods. But, any new business ventures to help the community is ok in my book

Bass Pro Shop stores are very cool, but I'm excited about the new Sportsman's Warehouse! I was wondering what would become of that old K-Mart. That is by far one of my favorite places to go, and the Cordova location will only take 1/2 as long to get to as the Rocklin location.

What I can't figure out is where the footprint of the building will go. I know it will be right there next to wallmart off of sierra college, but from what I've seen from the other BPS, there is hardly enough square footage left on the lot to have a huge one. Perhaps they have scaled down version of the store?
