The hard part I'm finding to locate are the primers.

Stopped by The Gun Range and picked up a Lee kit there for a good price. They had a few handgun caliber dies too, but that was about it. I found that Sportsman's up in Rocklin had a ton of stuff for reloading. No .223 dies were in stock at the time.

What primers are you looking for? Small Rifle are out of stock at all the stores in Sac that I know of. Small pistols aren't easy to get, but Discount Shooters had more primers than I saw most other places.

Just some boxer primers. I was up at Dillman yesterday sighting in my new AR and didn't stop by Discount Shooters thinking Sportsman's might have restocked. I'll know better next time.

Bought CCI small rifle and small pistol magnum primers today at Discount Shooters Supply.

they also had large pistol, small pistol and I think some Federal match primers.

they also have some ARs in stock, didn't look at which type or brand or how much.

Also saw some stripped AR lowers in the case.

Did they have much in the way of powder on the shelves? What were their prices like? Gouging?

No ball power suitable for .556, prices for CCI primers were around 40.00 per thousand, about what Natchez is charging. but they had SP, SR, SPM and others.

In my experience, Sportsman's rarely has many primers in stock. Last spring and summer, they were out all of the time and then I discovered Discount Shooters, which is closer to me so I haven't been back to Sportsmans for reloading supplies since.

The Gun Range in N. Highlands 916-972-1484. There yesterday and they have powder, CCI LPP and some Lee press kits, more on the way. Justin is my go to there. Great place very friendly.
