CCW Update in Santa Clara County

Has everyone out there filled out your CCW application and submitted to the SCC Sheriff? Of course it will take them a millenium to get around to creating a "policy" to actually process them, but unless we completely barrage them with applications they just won't get the message...The CA DOJ application is the correct one they are accepting as there's a few different apps out there. and yes, eventually you'll have to do the training, psych evel and background check I'm sure...

If you're in Los Gatos, you can stop by Templar Sports 611 University Ave. where we have a kiosk for you all to fill out, print out and take with you to drop off... call us at 408-827-4085 if you have any questions...

    Thx!

Anyways, I am processing mine through the city of Campbell.

The shop is closed on Sunday and Mondays, and we are a bit short staffed atm, so on Sat. we have to close for a 1/2 hour so the crew can eat.

We are open Tues. through Fri. 10-6 and Sat. 11-5

        Cheers

Shameless plug - Please be reasonable.

it's enough that LEO's think we're a bunch of gun nuts. You don't need EVERYONE and their MOTHER to suddenly apply for a CCW to get the message. They got it. They're changing the policies. If you are Qualified and have trained, your serious about having a CCW, if you have a real reason, not just to be cool, please do apply. Otherwise, be satisfied that those who have trained and are focused, calculated and dedicated to personal protection will now be able to carry in their home state. I personally find this post distasteful and self fulfilling. ....

The understaffed SJPD response time for a life-threatening emergency at a private residence is ~25 minutes, plus or minus depending on other ongoing police action. A conscientious protector of family and property is forced to arm oneself, train to know technically how to handle the chosen weapon, and study the law to insure one stays within applicable laws of employing deadly force.
                        DONE!
Now consider I and my family are elsewhere in the county and run into an armed criminal action that I cannot avoid.
Question 1. How do I protect my family and I from a perpetrator who is armed and violent?
Question 2. If I did have a CCW and was armed, do I have the right to stand my ground against this attack?

I actually really appreciate a business stepping up and helping to promote this. I think its exactly what we need to continue to move this State's legislators back into line with the rest of the Country regarding CCW and gun laws in general. Thank you Templar Sports. It is easy to not step up and let someone else do it. While some may say you are just supporting your business, I would counter that you are sticking your neck out as a business in a very anti-gun region. I will check out your store and see if I can give you some business from time to time.
