Made a map of these FFL deals here (aside from J&R, that isn't a deal): Bay Area FFL deals map

If you want to add anything, or fill in missing data, let me know, or if you want to help maintain the map, I can add you.

My vote goes for Mike Weiss from kinetic energy tools. He's a home based ffl. Been using him for awhile. He comes to my business in San Bruno but I know he meets people at Starbucks sometimes.

I liked Roger's Relics because you knew there was an extremely low chance that they would ever fiddle with your prize during the 10 day wait.

Updated the map, but $65 before DROS is quickly approaching being not a deal

Mike Weiss (KET KINETIC ENERGY TOOLS) is in South SF and San Jose. Most convenient location if you are in north peninsula. 50 + dros + tax per firearm

After hearing everyone here reccomend him, i did a transfer. his price was $10 more than everyone said and he charged tax when everyone said he didnt (no problem there) but after getting home and doing the math because i wasnt given a receipt, he did the taxes on my total invoice, which included shipping. I drove about 30+ mins each way, twice. Didn't feel very satisfied after everything was said and done.

I just did a sse with Peter and MP Arms. His prices are lower and I would definitely reccomend him.
My transactions with Rob have been for long guns purchased online. In each case he asked me what the sale price was and charged CA sales tax on that amount. My understanding is that this practice is required by the state. Total fees equaled $40 FFL fee (per gun) + $25 (per DROS) + sales tax. Does $40 seem steep for the effort involved? Yes, it does. Does it compare well with the other FFLs in the area? Yes it does.

Pretty tough to blame Rob for the length of your commute.
