Rod & Gun Club: Richmond vs Chevron

some mentioned to me that there is a Richmond Rod & Gun with 200 yard? and I also heard about Chevron Rod & Gun Club at Richmond

Are the two the same range? or actually two different places.

That refinery may actually have a range with all of their other recreational stuff there. Only for employees though according to my source.

Richmond Rod & Gun is separate public range from Chevron.

There is a private range on Chevron property but it's only for employees and private use. There used to be a private Mil/LE training group, don't remember the name, that ran classes out there but not sure if they still do.

I get inquiries all the time about our "pool" at the Richmond Rod & Gun Club.. Usually when asking about membership.. the only "pool" we have is access to the bay..

The Chevron R&G club is very much different than the RRGC. Chevron at one point had a trap range which went the way of the dodo when they started requiring non-toxic shot and bio wads back I think in the 90's. I know from many years ago that they had a 4 lane bowling alley, a full size basketball court, a pool and clubhouse, and a bunch of other things..

Thanks. I was told that they are separated property by a chevron employee. However, when google "chevron rod & gun" , it leads to a Facebook page where link me back to "Richmond rod & gun".

some one from Chevron told me about the range, though he doesn't shoot. so it is 2nd hand information.

I heard mention that the range out in Pt Molate on Chevron property was "The Halo Range".. I know some LEO do drills out there.. a lot of them come to RRGC mid week to rent our ranges when we are closed.

thanks. I connected with a chevron employee, who confirmed that this is a private range for employee only(not sure whether family or guest allowed or not), with a membership fee.

I work there and am a member. Its small, private and in a separate gate from the process area. We enter from the outside and badge in electronically.

This sure looks like three gun ranges to me. And if it is inactive, it still looks maintained.
