Want to Borrow sight pusher p2k

I was hoping someone could help me install my new Meprolights on my Hk P2k.

I'd be happy to cover range fees or take you out to lunch.

    I'm in the alameda area.

    Thanks!

No local smith able to swap them out on the cheap?

I'm very new to gun ownership. Is this something you usually go to a smith for? What's a good price point they should be charging.

This website has been invaluable. I'm sorry if these questions are already answered. I'm slowly making my way through all the valuable info stored in the forums here.

you can buy your own and wing it. They aren't expensive. Just need a vise to mount the contraption in.

If you don't plan on owning or swapping many sights over your life... then maybe a local smith is the way to go. Call a few shops and seek price schedules. I have never paid to have it done. Just bought the tool many years ago.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll be using my googling skills to find some competent smiths in the area.

Just saw this. I had a similar delima a while back and ended up buying a low budget unit. Worked fine. You can borrow it if you like. However, for best results, you'll need to use it in conjunction with a vice.

PM me if this is still needed.

there was a guy on xd.net or whatever who did sight installs for like $20, you mail him the slide and sights and he returns by priority mail.

XD's are notorious for having real tight sights

went real smooth and he has done a ton, got it back in less than a week

too bad there is no one here that does the same thing
