Hunting near Sacramento

I'm moving up to Sacramento (Roseville) from so cal and was wondering what spots produce decent deer, duck, and pig hunting? Not looking for any secret spots but just a push in the right direction.

I have done research and looks like Ice House Reservoir area has good deer hunting? What do you think?

You need to drive out to an area and spend time hiking, glassing and looking for sign. Maps are available on-line and there's lots of public land with in a couple hours of Roseville.

wild pigs can be found out towards lake county to the northwest of Sacramento on HWY 20 or you need to go to Red Bluff area. As for deer your near sierra's and there is great hunting all over

Send me an email if you are interested in upland bird hunting. I have a new pup and this will be her first season. I hunt chukar which if you have not hunted, you have no idea what you are missing. And quail and some waterfowl.
