Colt 1911 .45acp rifle build

I have a questions before attempting to build this rifle. I was planning to purchase a 80% 1911 frame with sarco 16inch barrel and Hera arms 1911 carbine conversion kit with a ar-15 6-position stock. And I am goin to attemp a way to make a bullet button so the mag won't be detachable without a tool. Is this a legal home build rifle and still be california compliant? And no I am not building a 1911 pistol.

Sounds like your in the clear as long as you got the bullet button and stock with a barrel at 16 inches but they switch it up so often its probly illegal now for us tk even talk about it. Lol.

Quick questiin for you though I just got everything for a 1911 80 series build and don't have a mill so I went off and ordered a second jig for drill press, how do you complete your 80% frames? Which would you believe to be less of a headache of the two?
