Savage Youth Axis .243

I wanted to get my boys (12 and 10) something a little bigger than there 22lr / 20 gauge that they could hunt with. Jailed one of these on Friday, seemed like a pretty solid rifle and a couple of the folks at my LGS had good things to say about them. I know thats there job, but I was already buying another rifle and this LGS has more guns in stock then anybody within a couple hours of me and could have recomended anything........they are loaded with inventory and typically have the best prices around Does anybody have any experience with these rifles? Got my girlfriend the savage trophyhunter with a youth stock in.243 it it a sub moa gun out of the box . I would spend the lil extra $ 4 a rifle that will last . It also came with a coupon for an adult stock but i dont think my gf will get longer arms . Its a light weight great lil gun . She can pack it for a few miles no problem
