How old are you and what kind of gun is it?

If your just buying a rifle (I am assuming that you are 18) You will need a valid CA ID or Drivers license and secondary proof of residence. Something like a utility bill or home phone bill or car reg.

And whatever the cost of the rifle is bring money for that. Also you are going to need to either a safe or an approved gun lock.

Hopefully this is all that you need but it seems like every shop is different
