The lady is this NBC report is still pretty shaken even after the events. Communications were cut off between her and her husband. The valuables the intruders were after were near her daughters room.

Was curious how many here have a plan, and have ever practiced the plan with family members, much like a earthquake drill or fire drill. Since California was orders and then voted to let "non-violient offenders out" home invasions are way up.

In addition to home invasion students at Riverside College have been subject to attacks for cell phones and cash over the last weeks. Of course you can't CCW on campus, nor legally carry stun guns. So what is the plan.

Give it some thought, this isn't a do all save all, nothing is.

I'll not be standing behind the door when they are trying to bust in.
Most likely on the couch or in bed.
The noise will allow me time to wake up and further prepare or dial 911.
