    WOT-Shotgun Basics Class

Anyone going? I signed up for the Redlands class this Sunday. Really looking forward to it and hope to meet some Calguns members!

I had a really great time at the Women on Target/CGSSA Shotgun Basics Class last Sunday! It turned out to be a warm day (occasionally windy) out there at Redlands Shooting Park (nice & friendly folks).

Our class was very lucky to have a surprise visit by five-time trap/skeet Olympic winner, Kim Rhodes! She spent quite a bit of time with our class, giving us great tips and strategies! Everyone was thrilled and happy to meet her, a memorable event! Kim was very kind to take time out of her training schedule to coach us and we all appreciated it.

There were so many great NRA & CGSSA volunteers out there supporting us, nearly a 3 to 1 ratio! I received many good tips (lean in! elbows up!) and actually hit several birds! We shot Trap in 20 ga and 12 ga, semi autos, pumps and over/unders. It was a blast!

I was very lucky to receive such great coaching and safety instruction from a variety of smart, talented folks. They were patient and answered all of my questions and most of all I had some extreme fun!

Thank you for the opportunity, I would definitely recommend this class to all ladies who are new to the shotgun.

Wow that's great to hear! I was scheduled to be one of the volunteer instructors, but heard you guys had plenty already! Any plans on taking more WOT or becoming an instructor yourself?

Definitely yes on the classes and am considering the instructor route as well.
