I'm only just starting on my first AR. Still purchasing parts actually. Lower from my LGS Addax Tactical, PSA LPK, PSA premium upper assembled. Going budget for now at least. I'd originally planned to build out the upper myself as well but people said for a first-timer I'd save myself a lot of troubleshooting if I bought one assembled. I wouldn't have minded that - I want the learning experience anyway - but in the end I got impatient, and when I saw that PSA on sale I just grabbed it. Anyways, I too would like see other ladies' builds or hear input. Keep us posted beb!

Hi Sly! I'm going for a budget build as well, I'd like to save some cash in case I need to SSE a handgun by end of this year!

I just put my lower into jail yesterday...

Please post pics as your rifle progresses! I will hopefully have some updates in a couple of weeks

Thanks Beb! I did most of the lower last night, slowly and lovingly taking over an hour to do what an experienced person could do in 20 minutes. Doesn't look like much yet but I'm pretty thrilled. No tiny springs went flying away or anything! I was glad I've explored my other guns. Not much, just basically taking things apart and putting them back together, but even that little bit helped IMHO. More soon!

Update: ok here 'tis! Not much compared to the awesome builds others post on this site, but it's a start ...

          Sly-Jay,

Your AR looks just fine the way it is. Little bling, lots of bang.

If you owned a prized stallion it wouldn't need all the crap you could buy
for it at the saddle shop to make it more of a "prized stallion".

IMO bling is just that bling. Beyond mounting a good scope at some point learn to shoot well with iron sights alone. After that shooting with a scope is almost like cheating.

Here's one I already had a pic of for the Kitties of Calguns photo contest a few months ago.

I have since removed the angled grip for a standard vertical grip. The mags are permanently blocked to 10 rounds.

WTB: multiautomatic ghost gun with a .30-caliber clip to disperse with 30 bullets within half a second. Must include shoulder thing that goes up.

Nothing wrong with it just the way it is. Did you take it to Women On Target today and test it after the class? I didn't show because there were already enough instructors going.
