Smith & Wesson - will it fit me?

So alas I am looking at adding another hi to the stable: a revolver

I am looking at a Smith & Wesson model 327 TRR8 - it will be a big hunk of a gun - ala N -frame

I have yet to go make the rounds to the gun stores and handle one of these. Does any of the ladies here have any experience with a N frame revolver fitting or not fitting our girly hands?

N frame does not fit my hand. not at all.
J frame is where I started.
now have some K frames as well.

do try and handle some N frames....and then shoot some as well.
my experience is that even if I can hold a larger frame it is impossible to keep control of it when firing.

although experience now tells me that changing out grips can also make a larger frame easier to handle.

I have N frame revolvers. None of their factory grips fit as issued but I landed on a combination of Altamont "Classic Panel" grips and a Tyler T-grip and that works perfectly for me.

P.S.: Once I discovered 8-round revolvers I was never again willing settle for the standard 6!

Me too! That Tyler grip is pretty wonderful.

I confess I don't know beans about revolvers. However, I think that fitting a gun is like buying shoes. You gotta go to the store and try them on your own very self. I can't imagine trying to figure out a grip fit without actually handling the guns. Yes?

I did it the hard way: buy online what seems like it might work, try it, realize it won't work, sell it, try again. Was worth it, though, once I landed on the combo above. All my N frames have this same grips configuration, just different colors, depending upon the revolver's finish.
