    Spam: the official thread

    this forum gets so much spam I think we should can it and sell it!

    at least this spam is "edible" depending on how one defines "edible", I guess.....but it certainly is preferable to the spam we get here in this forum:

      I do the low sodium one. I can't handle the regular spam anymore. Too salty even if I rinse it first too.

              love spam as a breakfast meat...i have tried almost all of the flavors (don't care to try hot and spicy or jalapeno)...low salt, smoked and bacon are my favorite...the most vile is the turkey (that taste neither turkey or spam LOL)...

              the only spam i cannot source is the one with cheese...had it as a kid, and have never seen it since...

              the newest is chorizo; got a can and haven't tried it yet...teriyaki flavor is ok but for me best suited for musubi...

                                      add spam and sliced tomato to cheese between two slices of bread and grill however you like......used to love those!

                                              One is tempted, sometimes, to wonder just why it should be that we mayn't simply have our own teeny-tiny 'niche' in this part of the internet world, in which to exchange greetings and comments as we might find enjoyable, absent the 'compulsion to dominate' one finds elsewhere.

                                                          Almost every gas station and convenience store in the state of Hawaii has SPAM Musubi wrapped up in plastic, right next to the register.
                                                          I think it's made fresh everyday but continues to sell for the next 24 hours, until the next fresh batch comes in.
                                                          would you eat that stuff on the 23rd hour that's been sitting out on the counter?
                                                          apparently it must not be killing people because they've been doing it like that for a while.

                                                          I always went for the stuff right next to the SPAM Musubi ...

                                                          the "sushi cone rice" = Inari which is just a sweet rice bits carrots wrapped in tofu.
                                                          it never made me sick and I am sure I've had stuff that was more than 12 hours old.

                                                          or maybe boiled peanuts & hot dogs with a very red dye coloring are some of the other goodies you can get at local stores in Hawaii.
