    Deadeye Dames in Sacramento

    Hi Dames,
We are a non-profit organization of women helping women learn about firearm safety in a friendly environment. We get together every month and practice what we have learned. We teach NRA Classes and have other instructors teach us for a great price! Check us out! Our website is www.DeadeyeDames.com or join us on Facebook! . New shooters or experienced are all welcomed. We shoot pistol, rifle, and shotguns at Sac Valley Shooting Center and other places. If you don't have one we will be happy to loan you one of ours, just pay for ammo! Call us at 916-844-2486 is you have any questions!

I am impressed with the activity in the Sacto area re women & shooting!
"The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her own pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound."-- as seen on a t-shirt

We meet the third Sunday of every month, except July & Dec at Sac Valley. While we encourage women to try competition, currently there are only a few of us who shoot IDPA. We have also shot sporting clays around Nor Cal.

                    recommendation on CCW trainer?

My daughter is beginning the CCW permit process here in Sac Co. - do you have recommendations for a female or "non-macho, non-BS-filled" male DOJ Certified course instructors?

                    Thanks.

The leaders of Deadeye Dames are NRA Instructors, I'm sure if you PM them, they'll help out.

Or, from personal experience Mandy Autrey is an awesome teacher. As a range master, I've watched her teach women for hours and I think she's just the best. http://www.gunlady.net/#!class-descriptions/cvyz.

Also Best Handgun Training in Lincoln is woman-friendly, non-macho BS training operation. From personal experience, I would recommend John to any woman wanting to learn to shoot or do CCW. http://www.besthandguntraining.com/

If you inquire at Sacramento Shooting Center in Sloughhouse, CA, they'll give you info on at least a half dozen instructors who teach there. I've met most of the instructors and while a few are on the macho side, they are all women-friendly, because they understand the concept of "customer".

Much luck to your daughter, and have her PM me, if she wants to go shooting or just have coffee.
