My 12 year old son tactfully (cough) pointed out that I am getting 'man hands'. Yep, long days at the outdoor range in the sun has done a number on my hands. I can cover up the rest of me with a hat and long sleeves, but was wondering about shooting gloves. I know they have them for hunting but does anyone use them for handguns? Any suggestions on brands? Not the ones with the fingers cut off.

Handgun shooting gloves?
Tags: None -
I think there was a thread in this forum about shooting gloves....last year?
and I think some preferred the fingers cut off....."The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her own pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound."-- as seen on a t-shirt

I use (baseball) batter's gloves. I cut off the glove's right index fingertip and hand hemmed. They are lightly padded, perforated for ventilation, leather so they absorb sweat and you get two gloves (left and right) for around $20 at Big Five. Be sure to try on before buying, and buy them a little snug.
Totally beats the cost of golf gloves, which was the other alternative. (ever try to find a ladies left hand golf glove?). These are good winter and summer and have just enough padding so the last 50 rounds aren't killing my hands. And thanks to the Big Five salesman who was smart enough to listen to what I wanted to do, and not what I said I wanted.WHAT I HAVE LEARNED SO FAR, MOSTLY THE HARD WAY

Try golf gloves. Super thin, super soft, left and right hand, ladies sizes... Actually, a lot of sizes to choose from, no extra material at the fingertips. Also, seams in the right places so they don't rub you raw.

Golf gloves or got to a motorcycle shop and over in the MX area, try on all of there gloves until you find a snug fitting pair then go around the store and feel different things with the gloves on. Find a pair you can pick up a piece of fabric or paper with. This way you know that you can load mags with the on.Comment
