    Official Ladies' Forum Bourbon Thread

    what's your fav?

I'm partial to Knob Creek and Bulleit bourbons....did not like Blanton's despite the higher price tag. and while technically not a bourbon I'm really liking Bulleit's Rye Whiskey.....

in another thread that was getting high jacked Buffalo Trace was mentioned....and after visiting their website I'm ready to buy a bottle.

I also prefer my bourbon "neat" [http://www.jeffreymorgenthaler.com/2...-on-the-rocks/ with a water back [and with a wedge of lemon would be a nice touch, thank you!].

I actually prefer scotch, whiskey and bourbon (in that order). Funny...over the holidays I purchased a few bottles at Costco for entertaining and to try something new.

I purchased Michter's Rye (MY NEW FAVORITE-very smooth), Maker's 46, Buffalo Trace and a few others. I didn't care for the Buffalo Trace, took one sip and promptly gave the bottle away!

Same here, neat with a water back-simple!

I have some friends in Bardstown, KY and had many an opportunity back in the day to check out a few distilleries! Way fun!!!!

Well, nice topic. Since you are talking bourbons, made in Kentucky by US law, although made around the world also, and a least 51% corn addition, Evan Williams for good everyday on the rocks, Markers Mark goes up it a little, Evan Williams single barrel even better, for Christmas and New Years, Black Maple Cask 21 ($95 a fifth). But you can spend 3 times that much for small batch. Econo swill with a good taste, Old Crow.

                  $95/fifth?!
dang, it better be good....'cause you know I'm going to have to buy this.
of course, I guess, I could just find a bar that has it and have a taste.

Soo glad I stumbled on this thread, cheers!

My fave for many years has been Ancient Age, it isn't pretentious but has a great flavor.
After watching WTC Bldg #7 being razed, and considering it's main occupants..

I stumbled onto this note while checking advanced weapons..
"911 = false flag. WTC 7 was brought down by demolition. 47 floors came down in 6 1/2 seconds - not hit by a plane. Just one of hundreds of absurdities that occurred that day. Wake up".

2nd for Michter's. Their straight bourbon and their rye are both very good. Black Maple Hill is also really smooth.
