How long does it take a moderator to respond?

    Evening ladies,

In making a request from a moderator how long does it usually take them to get back to you? I listed a gun for sale and in 12 minutes I had 3 replies: an "I'll take it", a "second in line", and the third was from a guy thanking me for "not price gouging on CZs like everyone else does" plus a "free bump for a nice gun." I stepped off that webpage for a minute and when I reloaded it the responses were gone. My only guess is that the free bump violated terms and made my post get scrubbed. I sent a message to a moderator and a PM to Mr. K himself but have heard nothing as of yet. Neither buyer PMed me and I didn't take that hard of a look at their names since I never anticipated the cleansing of my post.

I prefer to get the gun to the first person who wanted it but I need a moderator to make that happen (if they even can, I'm new and don't know the system).

    Thank you in advance~

I wonder if it just didn't time out. Every day lately, when I am composing a reply to a post (yes, I am a thinking writer and therefore slow!) , the site times out and kicks me off. Usually, I can log back in and pick it up. Just wondering....

Better to Ask Help from a Stranger

Frankly ,,, I Personally P.M a Moderator Named "KESTRYL" for Help to a Question and Got No Response Back Ever ,, I will NEVER Ask Help from Him again as Whoever that is has NO Interest In Helping Newbies

Well, the good news is that most deletes are soft deletes and can be seen by someone with moderation access when looking at a thread, and resorting them should be easy enough. Most of the mods are really busy, and Kestryll especially. You can only imagine how many PNs they get in addition to reported posts.

The best thing is to click the flag in upper right corner of your thread and report the post. In the description describe the issue/problem. Clicking the flag will make the post shown up in their moderation queue, and send them an email.

Thank you everyone for your assistance - I have heard back from the 2 folks with the power to "delete." My ad shows no moderator activity, and i know i did not make the responses up in my head, so we are chalking it up to the mysteries of the computer world. Hopefully my buyer will surface again!

If any of you know someone who is in the market to buy a nice CZ or wanting to sell a good Ruger SR22 let me know : )

It can take a while unfortunately; there are only 15 of us to moderate 28,000 active members and aprox ~100 reported posts in an average 24 hour period.

Chickshooter, I PM'd you regarding your post. Take a look and let's see what we can do.

You do know there are more guns in the country than there are in the city.
