Sig with the E2 Grips are a good bet also glock gen 4 with interchangeable back straps might work. My wife really like the Sig P220SAO she is 5'0".

I was going to suggest a CZ 75, but you mentioned she had fit issues with a Browning Hi-Power. The CZ and Browning have a similar frame. I put slim grips on my CZ and it's much slimmer than the rest of my handguns. Maybe that might help her.
My other suggestion would be a M&P 9mm. Great ergonomics!Comment

Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their ideas, I really appreciate all the suggestions. Hopefully we can find a solution that makes shooting more fun for our friend. Of course that means we will have to up our game to try and keep up with her, LOL.Comment

If you ever near Jackson Arms you guys can check out my pistols. I am a only a tad taller and have relatively small hands as well. I put thin aluminum grips on my CZ 75 so I could even reach the DA of the trigger easier. I also shoot with a Glock 19 and the fit is a bit better.Comment
