Not feeling enthused about an upcoming birthday, so I played hooky and went to Field Time in Stanton. I feel much better now. 38? Take that! 39? Bug-bye! 40? Right between the eyes! 41? Hah! ...

Now I'm finishing up the day with Sephora and Disneyland. I will ready for whatever tomorrow brings.

Happy Early Birthday! Staring 44 right in the eye(on 4/4 actually!) and not bothered at all. My 39th bday bothered me most but only because I was talking on my sister a couple of nights before my birthday and said "I am going to be 38 next week! THIRTY-EIGHT!" and she said "Dumbass, you're 38 NOW, you're going to be THIRTY-NINE next week!" :0 I said "WTH??? I've been telling hubs, elder and younger that I was turning 38, why haven't they corrected me I wonder?" and she replied with "They are probably afraid to correct you." LOL

My BD is coming up soon too. It's always "Be Nice to Bonnie Day". My plan is a splurge on a massage, facial, pedicure, manicure and a hot fudge sundae.

Ya gotta have a plan and self-indulgence is good. Make sure your family and friends know it's their duty to make you happy on your birthday. In my family, the phone rings all day long. No one says "Hello". We start with an upbeat double-time "Happy Birthday to you" song, some times with "cha cha cha", and I join in on the second verse. Ya just gotta laugh, it's so silly.

Happy early Birthday!! I will be 48 this June, so I can definitely sympathize. However, it's just another number to me. My mom still asks me when I'm gonna grow up. I say never! LOL We have a special planned that just happened to land on my BD, so I will have to save my full day of shooting plan for when we get home.
