Looking for instruction in Santa Cruz

I received an email from a childhood friend.

She decided that she wanted a gun and has gotten a double barrel shotgun.

She wanted something like her grandfather hunted with and hung on the mantle.

She asked me to take her shooting the next time I am up in the Bay Area.

I am looking to see if anyone can reccomend either an NRA 1st steps instructor or a class in or around the Santa Cruz area. While she now has a hunting style shotgun, she is interested in keepin the home secure and learning more about overall safe handgun and firearm use.

    Is there anyone you suggest???
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
    (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

        another shout out for Markley's.
also, she's not that far from the SFBay area and really should expand her scope re gun shops ranges, and training centers.
"The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her own pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound."-- as seen on a t-shirt
