Need advice from Lady Smith owners

We have been looking for a revolver with a comfortable fit for her and finally found it-a Smith and Wesson model 60LS .357 Lady Smith with a 2-1/8" barrel.
She now needs your help in selecting a holster. Her focus is on a synthetic on and outside the belt with a snap down strap behind the hammer similar to what we see on the Uncle Mikes' and others' web sites. We have some rural acreage near Yosemite that we spend a lot of time at which is also populated by bears, cats and rattle snakes all of which we have seen and photographed. We're just peace loving folks, not out to wantonly kill these beautiful creatures, but occasionaly feel the need for carry protection.
We have visited a couple of local GS in our area and have found all of the limited stock available 2" models were too small as to not allow the trigger guard to begin to enter the holster so she is hesitant to even order one on line at this time.
Can you please help her and tell us your brand and model number that works for you?
Also-She is considering obtaining a CCW in the future so help with a concealed holster will also be greatly appreciated!
Thank you and do enjoy the attached photos of a few of our neighbors that frenquent our and their property.

my bosses wife turned me onto cheap Walmart Blackhawk holsters.

Not sure if she had LadySmith but I think it was.

    http://www.blackhawk.com/product/Hip-Holster,958,34.htm $12 at Walmart.

These just work better than other holsters at 3x price. The ones I got are amazingly forgiving in that you can stuff 'wrong' guns into them and they still work fine.

The snap release works good, or you can adjust the strap little loose so you can flip off the strap if you push the gun down a little at same time.

Get a cheap Walmart black nylon quick release belt strap for $2-3 in camping for the gun belt in either 1 or 1.5 inch. Gunbelt and holster for under $15 OTD.

Nice to have a separate gunbelt holster to snap on and off, so you don't have to bother with wearing holster or undo your belt and pants all the time or when driving, etc.

My #6? http://www.tacticalsupply.com/cart/p...oducts_id=5470 holster has good metal clip which could be used for inside belt carry, but my #9 only has flex-plastic loop for a belt to be fed through, which doesn't make too much sense because the #9 (like this....http://www.walmart.com/ip/Blackhawk-...-Side/16913776) is for small guns. I use #9 for Bersa 380.

I wish Blackhawk(and others) would supply pic of both sides of their holsters so you could determine which ones got metal removable clips, two way belt feed, etc, etc.

PS-the 1.5" strap/belt comes 10ft long un-cut length so you can double it up and have a fairly tight loop around waist and hang the holster from outer, slightly looser belt if that is your style or if you want the gun able to move around for sitting in car, etc. You can fine tune all this with "keepers".

congrats on the purchase of a great gun.
i have the regular Model 60, not a LS.
if memory serves me correct, i think the LS is slighly smaller.
have you tried calling Smith & Wesson and asking what they recommend?
also, i would think anything online specifically stating its for a Model 60 would work; however, i've been wrong before and could be again!
on your own property she can open carry. or conceal carry for that matter. loaded weapon as well.

      found this online: http://www.cowboyneeds.com/holsters_..._60-2.125.html

can always call and talk to them as well.

again, congrats on purchasing a great gun!

Finding a holster that works is either a costly adventure or a pain in the you know where... Depending on how you look at the adventure.
California's politicians and unionized government employees are a crime gang that makes the Mexican drug cartels look like a Girl Scout Troop in comparison.
