My husband's beloved dad died unexpectedly two years ago. Among the property he left my husband was his gun collection. While home on vacation we opened up the gun safe and saw all the fun old long guns they used in my husband's youth, saw an old revolver, old .22 pistol and an almost-new Glock 20 (yeah, as in 10 mm!). About 15-18 guns in all. Had tons of fun shooting together on the farm. Now, imagine my delight when I discovered another pistol in another location and it was, drumroll please............A GLOCK 26!!!!!! I remember my FIL buying it back in 2006, but he stored it and never shot more than maybe 25 rounds. My gun is a Glock 19, which I got because I wanted a good all-around gun, but now I get the sub-compact too! My husband dislikes center fire pistols and will keep to his long guns, so I'm happy to take it off his hands. What a delightful discovery!

Nice! Congrats on all the new (to you) toys! I have cultivated an appreciation for long guns over the last year. I really do love the accuracy with my lever action rifle, for instance. Sounds like a treasure trove you got there.

Congrats on a very lucky 'score'.

sorry for the loss of your FIL; congrats on finding the long guns and Glock!"The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her own pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound."-- as seen on a t-shirt

I took that little Glock 26 out to shoot yesterday and had a shooting contest with my dear husband on his last day of vacation on his farmland. That will go down as one of my favorite memories, i am sure. That little gun is not too snappy, and while a bit harder to be accurate, it isn't *that* much harder. I like her as well as my Glock 19. My 19 is named Liberty so I thought it fitting that this 26 should be Justice. My little sisters will be home to join me for the rest of my vacation and I am teaching them to shoot on these pistols when they arrive. Liberty and Justice for all, People!Comment
