New Glock 26/ Misfires

Hey guys, I new to the site. I purchased my first handgun (the glock 26) last week and today I finally went to the range. I had a box of magtech ammo that I had the last time I went to the range. I had shot 40 rounds and I think i had like 5 misfires. Then I used winchester ammo, went through 60 rounds, same thing. Should I be worried? The guy at the range told me since it's a new gun, I shouldn't worry.

Misfires as in failures to ignite with light primer strikes?
Failures to feed or failures to extract?
Never has happened with any new Glocks I've ever shot.

Are you new to shooting glocks? If I had to guess something (OP isn't very specific), it might be a case of limp wrists.

I've never had a Glock not go boom. And I picked up a G26 a few months ago and no problems with it.

Give us a little more information on what is happening.

Perhaps the magazine isn't seeded all the way in the magazine well in addition to bad primers? Could you see if the firing pin strikes were faint or deep?

This is tough not being present and just reading about it.

I just picked up mine and had no problems tat the range yesterday. Limp wrist perhaps.

I'm not new to shooting the glock 26 at all. Which is why I'm worried. I pulled the trigger and nothing. I pull out the magazine and the 1 round falls out. This happened in between firing 2 or 3 rounds. I was thinking it was the magazine. I did put on the pearce grip extension on it. Could that be it?? The Op oil the glock down and told to me put 8 rounds into the magazine at night so the springs could get loose. I will be going back to the range on wednesday.

Are you saying that the round in the chamber fell out? or one fell out of the magwell without racking the slide?

Did you look to see if the primer was hit at all? If it was, was it a light strike, or does it look like the striker hit it like normal?

Any way you could post pictures of the round(s) in question?

Both happened. When I go back wednesday to the range, I will check again. After the Op told me I just need to shoot a few rounds and it was happening because the glock was new, I was not really worried about it. After coming home and doing some research online, I was definitely worried.

just the pinky extension...

I put the same extension on my mags with zero problems. Shot 250 rounds with no issues.

should be NO problems with glock!!
maybe extensions... also glocks dont need thats much oil.

It sounds like if this is happening between 2nd and 3rd round you might have a magazine problem? Do you have the extensions on both mags or just one?

Can you take a picture of the round that didn't fire (primer end)?

I personally would try a different mag and see what happens.
