I realize there isn't exactly a large array of bags out there for us, and honestly, Maxpedition's designs are a bit to tacticool. Screaming I MAY HAVE A FIRE ARM!

Well, was at Shot, and thought I would bring another bag to all your attention, in anycase, it can carry tablets nicely, but also pretty much everything you would need/use daily.

The design is both very simple, as well minimum pals webbing. Only visible on the very side of the bag. I tried it on there, and was very very impressed. I ordered two, coyote, and black. Simply cause black doesn't draw that much attention, but when out and traveling especially when its sunny, coyote is nice too



Very very nice, simple bag. Attention was obviously paid here towards design. It naturally sits at side like nothing more than a simple messenger style bag. A simple DISCOVERY CHANNEL patch, to cover their logo, and I am set lol.

It looks a lot like a camera bag to me. You may want to watch out for purse snatchers who think they will get a sweet camera.

Its actually not that wide, at least to hold say a D700 and lens, it can and probably will hold a tablet on occassion and a wireless keyboard, or just a small netbook, or there of the likes.

Since I don't actively live in CA, it will be nice to use for concealed carry, or for work, can carry essential daily items I need as well not scream tactile, like Maxpedition and a few other brands like 5.11 and such. 5.11's moab or however its spelled I have, as well their rush packs, fraying was so obvious when I would sometimes accidently rub against things like a wall or such, not very durable, Maxpedition's stouter; but designs seem very very dated and techboy/tacticool fanboish. On a woman, that's not a big deal, but still screams visually. Variety of other patches remove thoughts of it concealing a fire arm, I will try Falken Tire patch, as well a chevy bow tie patch, just to see what else I can use to cover the front logo. I wish companies would put the logo inside somewhere, hidden and out of the way... eh.

I like how it looks really sturdy and has a bunch of compartments. The thing that drives me nuts is having things roll around the interior, making me constantly fish around for what I want.

My Better Half could never understand that and is terrifed when I tell him to look for a pen in my purse - lol

Yeah, for us California gals that bag would require swapping out the cord zipper pulls for stainless steel rings.

Anyway I've taken my handguns to the range in an open-faced canvas tote bag (they were in individual soft cases, with the zipper pulls padlocked together). If I were to carry a loaded handgun concealed in a bag, I'm not sure I'd go for one on my shoulder. Around my waist in a fanny pack, with the pack around the belly, as I noticed the female cops in civvies did during an all-female motorcycle trip, sure.

I've work similar cross bodied. And for my off body, is nice if I can't keep on me, at beach or such, at least it is nearby. However, for my nominal carry for work, its Raven that holds mine, both glocks I have regged, are same model. use same mags, off body is nice in this, especially if on an outting, with no other real carry option.

Waiting on mine, but got to use and carry a friends in black, blends really well with casual dress, I love how its tactical holster inside how firmly the pistol is held with an x300, always apprehensive when it comes to off body, and stuff like maxpedition. But this thing really blends in, other associates today like brothers pals who are his mil buddies didn't pay mind to it, neither did other co workers of mine, or LE from other places around. So that instills alot of confidence in the design.

Will report back when I have had mine, and wear it down a bit, to see how it survives.

I hate to hijack a thread for shameless self promotion; but I've been working on getting a bag to market that would let everyone work around that issue.

A while ago, I was looking for a laptop bag that would let me carry a pistol in a separate locked compartment - but still allow the laptop to be used while sitting in the bag (so it couldn't be a top loader). I checked Condor, Maxpedition, Voodoo, and numerous other brands, but I found a combination of shoddy quality and (more often) nothing worked for what I wanted it to do.

Considering that there were likely alot of gun owners in CA who'd like to be able to carry in their laptop bags, backpacks, purses, etc, I came up with a design to "convert" any bag into a carry bag. If all goes according to plan, it should be on the market by summer. It is intended to be the first of a series of products in a similar line of thought; developing a less "tacti-cool", though still California legal carry systems.

Interesting, I have lots of custom stuff as well, some are altered stuff I have purchased from LV in South Coast Plaza, but often times that screams RICH out loud, or I need to get MUGGED.

Some bags look like 1-800 line network donation gifts...like this bag. especially with the right patch work.

But interested to see what exactly you are working on. Please post openly so other members can possibly see maybe proto type sketches and or rough runs of product p.t.'s youve possibly made? Where are your products being made? Concerned about quality.

I'm waiting on the most recent prototype to come back from the seamstress. It was mailed out Monday, so I expect it this week. If it is how I wanted it to be (there were corrections from the previous prototype) then I'll post a picture of the bag and more details on the concept.

The general idea is that it's an inconspicuous lockable case that is barely larger than the guns it's meant to hold. IE: If the laptop bag, purse, etc is large enough to hold the gun, it shouldn't have a problem accommodating this case. The case is designed to be extremely easy to open in an effort to bring draw time to a minimum.

When factory production starts, it will most likely be produced by one of two factories in San Francisco. There are a few textile factories there that specialize in short runs for small designers, and someone in the industry told me they'd be the best route. If that doesn't work out, the alternative is a micro-factory model - in which multiple seamstress' are hired to produce X number of units monthly out of their homes. This is less reliable and doesn't allow for the same volume, but it keeps quality high.

When in production, they will be sold on prac-tac.com with other products in the same line (all that's there right now is a placeholder).

good point, onequickshift: a bag that screams i have $, mug me is just as bad as one that is obvioiusly "tactical".

Not really poignant to the conversation at hand, but their City Ranger is a great bag (tacticool though it may be). Mine was stolen last year - will be replacing it soon. Nothing better than a sling bag if you want to be able to run wearing it.

ZOMBIE: Thats why I am not currently using them. But in social events because I do on occassion still model for private collections or at automotive events, I do get dressed up, and they still serve a purpose.

Strike Industries: I have some of your guys stuff, like the grip with flag is on one of my rifles it'd be nice to have quality thats par with hard use/tactile durability and function, with a minimalist exterior, that could either be like a day to day errand bag, or back pack line, as well have logos hidden. With brands like 5.11 and maxped, hazard, their logos are on the outside, I wish they'd know that like minded people would EASILY spot certain logos, as well bag designs. And yes I was at shot, I got to see stone cold austin but didnt see you guys :X

Our booth was located in the same hall on the second floor as Daniel Defense and some other big names. Shame you didnt catch us, we had displayed quite a few new bags.

Also I will bring up this issue about the tags on the outside, maybe they will start putting them on the inside like on some T-Shirts.

The question is, would you like velcro on the outside for your patch collection?
