    Need your opinion please

Before I'm told to read the sticky, I did. So I will jump into the question, sort of...my wife is in the navy, I asked her a while back what kind of gun she would want and she said she is a revolver kind of girl, or a beretta 92fs because thats what she shoots in the navy, she also said a M16 would be cool. She has been on deployment for a couple months and won't be back for another 6ish months. She missed christmas, and she will miss her birthday. So my plan, and I've kinda already started it, is to build her her own AR 15. I know it's not a M16 but it's close.
Now I know her well so I'm going to get the carbine length handgard along with a fixed stock and put red skulls on it, the lower is going to be spikes pirate lower filled in red. I have a carry handel for her (more the M16 look). But what I need just input really on what you ladies have or use on your rifles.
my wife isn't really the pretty pink kind of girl either if that helps any.

And I will say this again is not in any way shape or form for me.i have my own and I'm just waiting on parts I ordered, this is a surprise for her when she gets home.
Any input would be great, thank you.

Don't own (and never built) an AR 15 so I can't offer you any advice. Just wanted to say I'm sure your wife will appreciate your thoughtfulness and good for you for working so diligently to build her a rifle she'll enjoy Good luck with your project!

Aww that is sweet! But if you really want her to have some fun, help her put the LPK together. I fully enjoyed the building process.

My first AR I did the M4 look, decided that while it was a great rifle that I would of preferred the older style with a carry handle and fixed rifle stock so that is my next project. You might also instead of the pirate logo think of the USN logo.

Anyway good luck with the parts and I'm sure she will love anything you do for her!

        Shellshocker had it nailed...

My bride would much rather I give her a nicely wrapped box full of parts, tools and a manual and put it together herself than to have me do it. She'd enjoy shooting it but the building gives real personal pride.

peep sights, no optics, badger tac latch (fingernail savior), no muzzle brake.

I'd also get her the parts to make it featureless so she can use the big mags and the real release.

A voodoo tactical or Luis Vuitton case might be nice too.... chicks love bags.
