Holster for my daughter

I've been researching holsters for my 15 year old daughter. She's going to be getting a glock 19 soon. I want to get an open carry (duty) type holster. Not any kind of concealed type holster yet. Would like any recommendations on holsters that fit women well. I was considering the blackhawk level 2 serpa style holster.

I prefer the safariland holster (forgot the model name) with a thumb lock. It just feels more natural (to me) than the serpa forefinger lock. It also rides lower for what I think is a more comfortable fit and draw.

I would say the Blackhawk Serpa 2 would be a nice size and fit holster for your 15yr old daughter.

I own the Blackhawk! Serpa 2 holster as well and works great. Paddle, belt; doesn't matter, it'll fit comfortably knowing that the weapon won't fall out.

Key note though: If you are going to be using this holster, you must NOT curl your index finger as you draw from this holster, especially if your weapon lacks any manual safeties. If you do, there's a good chance your finger will end up within the trigger guard and risk a negligent discharge. There's been a few cases where people have ND'd their weapon upon retrieving it from this holster. Some blame the holster (because come on, we're all experts and we know what we're doing, we can't look stupid so we're gonna blame the gear), and some take the blame due to a training issue.

As long as you remember to keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you're ready to fire (pretty common fundamental) then everything will be all good.

This is why I would recommend the Safariland 6379 or VTAC thumb-drive or Blade-Tech WRS. Why even risk the SERPA?

I use the Blackhawk Serpa 2 and I think it is easy to use and comfortable.

I have a Blackhawk! Serpa Level 2, it wasn't that comfortable for my body type. I prefer the Blade-Tech DOH for range work. See if someone will lend various holsters to your daughter so she can try before you buy.
