CSC Ladies' Only Fun Shoot July 30

Hi Ladies! It's that time again. Our next ladies' only fun shoot and clinic is scheduled for Saturday, July 30 at the beautiful Corona Sportsman's Club range out by Lake Matthews. We'll start shooting at 9 AM and will break for lunch around noon. Just for fun, I'm planning to set up an abbreviated steel stage after lunch. If the guys are nice, maybe we'll let them come over and play, too!

The shoot itself is free, and I will be providing lunch. REMEMBER, this is at the end of July, so it's going to be hot. In addition to your regular gear, you'll want to remember to bring sunscreen, water and a hat.

Bring your favorite handgun and some ammo. We'll be breaking into groups depending on your level of ability and your interest (advanced tactics, bulls-eye, or beginner/novice shooters).

As always, this shoot is for the ladies. Gents, please feel free to send out your wife/daughter/mother/girlfriend/significant other, along with their (or your) favorite handgun. I'm going to try to keep Charlie range open for guys who want to play with their handguns while the ladies are shooting, but no men are allowed on the firing line with the exception of the instructors and range officers.

Mrs BunnySlayer - I do want to come this time. I missed the last one cause I was too sunburned . I also want to see this range as I am trying to decide between getting on the list for Corona Sportsmans or joining the Rainbow Range.

Hi all! It's almost here! The next CSC Ladies' Only Fun Shoot is this coming Saturday, July 30.

For those of you who are new to this thread, the Corona Sportsmen's Club sponsers a fun shoot just for the ladies at our beautiful range out by Lake Matthews. You can bring your own gun (or your s/o's gun!), or we have some that you can try out. We're geared for everything from ladies who have never pulled a trigger to those who want to learn more about advanced tactical shooting. So far I've spoken to three ladies who are 100% new to firearms, so if that's you (or your girlfriend/wife/daughter), come on out. You won't be alone.

The shoot is FREE, and a light lunch is provided. You will need to either bring your own ammo or we will have a limited supply of .38, 9mm and .22LR for sale.

Here's the important stuff to remember:
Wear close-toed shoes. Hot brass bill be flying.

Wear a hat. It's going to be HOT and we'll be out in the sun part of the time.

Bring sunscreen, water and whatever else you want to hydrate with. We'll have cold water, drinks and ice, but you may want to bring your own as well.

Have eye and ear protection.

NO HOLLOWPOINT AMMO and NO MAGNUM AMMO. We will be shooting at steel part of the day and we don't want anyone getting hit with a stray fragment.

If you need asistance in finding the range, we'll be meeting as usual in front of Babies R Us / Ethan Allen Furniture at The Crossings in Corona at 8:20 AM. It's located just east of I-15 at Cajalco Road. There will be someone there to lead you in to the range (not easy to find if you've never been there!). Be ready to go at 8:30. The road out to the range is in good shape, and we have had everything from a Mercedes to a Mazda Miata get out there with no trouble.

Wow sounds like fun! But I don't have a handgun just a little plunker .22lr rifle..would love to see the tactical group tho... anyway have fun everyone!

As for food, we will be providing a light lunch, but you're more than welcome to bring something to share if you want (cookies are always good ... most of the instructors have a MAJOR a sweet tooth)!
