    First 1911 .45

Well, picked up our first 1911 on Saturday. Bought it from a calgunner used. It only had 200 rounds through it, it was in perfect condition, and it was a GREAT price so we bought it! Went to the range on Sunday to shoot it and WOW. Is makes shooting a .45ACP like shooting my 9mm!

Oh yeah, it is a Springfield Armory Loaded and we bought the punisher grips seprately.

Now I need to decide whether or not my next firearm will be a rifle or revolver, and if a rifle....which one

I just picked up my first 1911 as well. Not that most people bother, but if you want to keep your barrel looking new checkout a product called Flitz. I picked up a tube off ebay. A tiny dab on a cut up t-shirt and some elbow grease and it went from looking seriously shot up to a perfect mirror finish. Of course, the first time you go shooting it is all scuffed up again. It is not something I would bother doing every time you go to the range. Just for when you want her looking pretty.

              Very nice, congrats!

Yes, you've got to line up all your 1911s for that eventual Calguns photo op. Oh, and you should buy another 1911 instead of a rilfe because you're a two-handed Calgunner (Or to make your Other Half feel better, tell him that you have His and Hers 1911s - lol)

As requested by Steyrlp10, not 1911, but 2011.

unfortunately i sold this a few months ago. I have its predecessor though. Will post it later.

Haha, yes. Eventually I will get my very own 1911. I am looking at a Colt Officer in SS with the pearl grips....or a Kimber compact. But for right now, I still do not own a revolver so that comes first. Then I need another rifle since I only have 1 (and I am a rifle girl). I am looking at another AR with 20" barrell, an STG556 (AUG clone), or AK.

Get a full size 1911 first. Then look at the smaller size guns, unless your going to carry it a lot.

Well, I do have a full size 1911 already....while technically it isn't "mine" (it is my fiance's) I will still shoot it a lot.

I know how he feels. Every gun in my gun safe belongs to me ONLY when it needs cleaning or my wife wants to shoot something else!

                              HAHAHA. We can't help it!

My fiance doesn't mind...he shoots "my" guns too. We like to think of them as "our" guns. In fact, I am the one that found and picked out "his" 1911 hahaha.

And, it's better than us women not liking guns at all!
