Men, please don't answer this poll or thread. Thanks for your understanding.

Okay ladies, there is a method to my madness!

    Pistols, revolvers, rifles and shotguns?

    Which ones can you shoot?

I like to shoot just about anything that goes Bang!

One time I shot a SW 500 Magnum and all I have to say is; .... never again.

I used to hunt as a kid and learned how to shoot skeet in the Army.
When hunting dove in Florida, I could never ever hit the darn things. They always seemed to fly out of the way. When I was in the Army, my CO taught me how to shoot skeet. After a few pointers, I started to hit the clays more often than not....20/25.

I have a few rifles, a shotgun and some pistols and revolvers. If anyone wants to go to the range and shoot, I would love to show-off my mini-arsenal.

I shoot pretty well with rifles and pistols (500 yards with the rifle using iron sights ) - not too well with the shotgun but I still like to shoot anything that goes BANG!

I didn't pick the "anything that goes bang" category only because I have no desire at all to shoot my husband's .500 S&W or the .454 Casull.

Everything else, I'm good with. I'm learning to trapshoot. I've been a hunter for almost 20 years. I ran a .22 range in college. I love to shoot my .45, but revolvers are cool too. I'm a good shot.

I dig things that go BANG too, but it's even better if it's on fire (Sorry, I have an obessession with things burning on the lawn...)

As for "shooting well," -- lol, I suppose that's a matter of debate. If I manage to keep my rounds on my paper, that's good enough, right???

I prefer handguns, but have some experience with rifles and shotguns. The last time I shot an AR (3 position match) was to qualify for a Garand, but at 600 yards with iron sights, I unfortunately killed a lot of trees. Tree huggers hate me, I'm sure.

Wow! 600 yards. I don't think I could see that far.

I think that's how I saved so many targets and they were able to use them again for another match - lol

There's a reason why I was meant to shoot pistol (probably because I won't die of old age during target changes at 100 yards - lol) All the guys during that High Power Rifle match had been to Camp Perry several times. That's what convinced me that I should stick to shooting International (all electronic target returns at the Nationals.)

I confess... I'm lazy and don't want to wheel around rifle gear and live in a leather outfit when it's 103 degrees in the shade

I checked 'BANG', but, truth is, being a civilian 'non-violent pacifist' (meaning I'd never fire on a nominally 'human' life-form, however creepy, unless there was surely no realistic alternative), I've never fired a heavy artillery piece, heavy machine gun, or suchlike purely military weapons.

Would I, should the opportunity present itself???.....well, I admit I wouldn't want to have to do the maintenence on an artillery piece, but getting to fire it once or twice, just for the experience.....could be interesting....

                  cheers

                  Carla

im determined to give anything i can get my hands on a try. sometimes its difficult finding equipment that works for me because i am pretty little, left handed and im VERY out of shape. some stuff gets heavy quickly and i get tired. that doesnt mean i am about to give up though. i have an m&p 9 that i LOVE. i shoot that the most. i just got a mossberg 505 shotgun for christmas so i can get ready to go shoot three gun in january. i regularly shoot the tactical. ive learned to shoot in the dark with a flashlight (and my pistol). im getting used to my bf's ar15. i am really enjoying just getting out there and shooting.

20 plus in this poll, less than 14 in the other?
                              Hmmm, that's interesting.

The two polls are to determine how many ladies are active and what they like to shoot. I'm planning on a ladies only shoot, centrally located in California. If there are men posting, please don't. This is an informal psuedo-scientific poll for ladies only. I should have mad the poster visible, but I forgot.
