Question for the ladies. Looking for a gun for my gf what do you all like?

Ok i am looking for a gun for my gf. Preferably 9 mm. What should I get her? It will be her first gun. She has shot a few, including my 12 guages, but my 40 xd is a little too big for her taste. Should i go with glock? xd 9? what else is there that fits your hands the best and is comfortable for you all? Looking for a semi automatic that fits 10 round mags. I would like to get your opinions because all I hae to go by is the guys I shoot with. She liked the glock 19 and 17, but hasnt shot a large variety

I have a Ruger SR9c. It was my first handgun and I love it! It is small, but not too small, it shoots nice, it is reliable and accurate. Oh and it looks pretty

I've tried the XD9 -- nice for something straight out of the box. Also have the XD in a .45. There are other threads in this forum asking your question, so you might enjoy reviewing those responses.

I'm still a 1911 girl because the single stack allows me to shoot with one hand.

If she likes the Glock type, try the S&W M&P as well. It has interchangeable grips. My wife's fits her hand really well, and she loves it. The grip angle of the Glock just didn't work for her.

Yeah, the XD9 is a good one as well. Can't really go wrong with SA and they are relatively inexpensive.

There are so many to choose from. But if she likes Glock's, then get her a Glock since she is already familiar with them. Have you asked her what she would like yet?

My wife loves her Kimber 9mm 1911. Hell, *I* love shooting that thing. It's very easy to shoot with manageable recoil, and I haven't met a woman yet who doesn't like the 1911's grip.

The two of us also have matching Sig P239's. They're a more compact gun, but very nice and easy to shoot.
