buying the wife a pistol for christmas

want it to be a suprise because she is just getting into shooting. she has shot my 9mm M&P and my 40 sigma but was wondering what else would be a good choice. wondering what the ladies/gents would recommend. thanks

I would recommend a 9mm. That was my first handgun and it worked out perfectly as it is still powerful, yet easy to shoot! My fiancee has a .40 SA, and I have shot it a few times. Since I am newer to shooting, I didn't have as much fun with it as I do my 9mm.

How cool -- that's much more interesting than a blender

I think perhaps a revolver would be nice too. Easier to manipulate and clean for her since she's just wading into the sport.

I would suggest the Bersa .380 the gun is light, easy to conceal, without the recoil of a full 9mm and a good price. A very fun gun to shoot, especially one handed, if she's a petite girl, and you decide do go the 9mm stay to the compacts with short barrels for
better control and joy of shooting.
