^ what he said. It's one thing for a female member you/we may know very well from a long history of posts, demonstrating she knows how to roll with this crowd and is OK with it. It's completely different with new a member, especially women, lets show some respect.

Also, thanks to the guys & gals with valid suggestions! I am new to Calguns, but my boyfriend has used the site for quite some time now and everything he told me about it was pretty right on. You'll get the few who just post random useless comments, but the rest can provide you with some great info or advice!

How about a custom gun-cleaning kit? Spruce up all his random rods, and rags, and organize it all in a Craftsman tool box.

Other than that, if he hunts, you can buy him a Tag for deer, antelope, boar...whatever that can be used anytime during the year...(don't know the time limit rules on this, so check it out)

As for Bday suggestions, i think all of mine have already been hit on. Ammo, Front Site, Range Day, New Gun. My vote is for the Front Site Coupon. Make it a couples weekend, you will have a blast with him, and trust me when I say, any other woman will be hard pressed to top that one! Guys remember stuff like this for a long time!

These suggestions are right on. guys dont forget great gifts. for example my ex gave me a G Loomis fishing pole one christmas....i swear its probably the only gift i remember her giving me over several years. I LOVE that pole. and for better or worse i do still think about her every now and then when i bring it out with me. .....but dont tell my new girlfriend that....

My wife usually has me order what I want and then ship it to her work. The suprise is then usually in how the gift is presented to me. Most guys I know, myself included, are ok knowing what the gift is that is coming.

Thank you bringing this up, I will make it a point to tell my wife not to get on calguns for advice on anything. I wonder if this woman was asking the same question at a gun store if someone would suggest the same thing? I think not.
