Of interest to women and babies

Petition to protect mothers who feed babies naturally:

A woman can legally get kicked out of a cafe for breastfeeding her child in Germany. (45868 signatures on petition)

The reason why so many people have stomach trouble is from formula use in infancy.

Hmmm, can a person in CA really affect law in Germany?

I mean, yeah, it is interesting to know they didn’t have any protection, but how is an e-petition going to help?

Oh, and maybe you should hang out here in the Ladies’ Forum, since this is one of the first things you’ve posted that isn’t completely ridiculous. Sure it’s a little far away, but, holy moly, I actually agree with you! Women should not be hassled for feeding their baby!

This shouldn't just be posted in the Ladies forum, all should be for this. However, I am neither in Germany nor a mother and never will be. I'm just here for the shooting with my fellow female kind.

^Agreed, this should be in OT, but OP has had it rough there recently.

I am hugely in favor of breastfeeding and yes this should be in OT as well. No I am not a woman or German but I feel is healthy and natural.

I knew a Hispanic grandfather that scolded his daughter for doing so stating breastfeeding was low class or for like Indians and saying if upper class you should buy formula. Probably one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.

THIS THREAD IS POSTED IN THE WOMEN'S FORUM. GENTLEMEN ARE INVITED TO RESPOND IF THEY ARE CIVIL. IF NOT, PLEASE DON'T. THE WOMEN'S FORUM HAS RULES.

Since the Women's Forum is about women and shooting (mostly), this thread may not be in the right place, because I can't see where the original post has anything to do with shooting sports.

BUT, it's probably worth it to say that there is a LOT of advice and research here in the Women's Forum about avoiding shooting or being on ranges while pregnant or certainly when breastfeeding. Lead poisoning, acoustic damage to babies, have been popular topics

This has been VERY controversial in the past, here in the Women's Forum.

All that said, I feel people ought to do their activism at home, in the US and in California. I do not believe in interfering in the internal affairs of another country. (Just imagine what would happen here if the Germans, for instance, started telling us what to do or not do with our children.)

And please let's NOT go off topic in this thread or start a firestorm in the Women's Forum about my personal opinions on interference. We can argue that elsewhere.
