    SHOT Show report

Quick update, just home from SHOT Show.

As before the show was wonderful, there were more vendors, and it felt like more attendees.

Unfortunately there really weren't many innovative products for the women's concealed carry market. There were gadgets, but none that I would risk my life on. The most useful and innovative product that I saw was the second generation Ulti-Clip. This will allow the clip to be moved up or down, and side to side allowing a great level of tailoring. The Ulti-Clip will allow women to use a wider variety of IWB holsters without a belt. In fact I am working with Bob Cook at Cooks Holsters to develop a kydex holster using the new clip when available that will work IWB, in purse or in boot, all with the same holster, with the same high quality draw.

I talked to one manufacture who is testing custom polymer grips for their handguns. They literally scan you hand and the computer designs a custom fit. Look forward to that coming to market soon.

For me the satisfaction was in visiting a couple of manufactures that shall remain nameless who last year were very rude to Debbie and I when we asked for locking gun purses. We had explained to us how there consulting trainers didn't approve. We expressed our whys, etc. and were very poorly treated. Surprisingly this year, they had locking purses using the same locks we showed them, in their line ups. Except they were four and five times the price of what our main supplier costs. Still that is progress.

I didn't go to the SHOT show this year. I will probably go next year.

      lol, grantar re locking purses!
you and Debbie may have been abused but someone heard the tale and thought it worth investing in!

I'll say there's satisfaction in something like that. However, you need a commission for doing their R and D for them. Just remember (and savor) the look you and Debbie gave one another as you walked away from their booths.

        Thanks for the report!

OK this is just a cool report. I don't own a Sig, not that I wouldn't if someone wanted to give me one. But at the SHOT Show the exhibitors often give out SWAG. Well Debbie does all the sorting of catalogs and trinkets. She just handed me a Sig Sauer key chain. But unlike the Glock 17 key chain which is just a really nice mini Glock 17 (I don't own a Glock either) The Sig is a really accurate P226 in what appears to be a Blade Tech OWB holster. The holster fits on your belt and acts as key chain retainer. To use the keys you draw the P226 from the holster. Yeah I know its kid like, but I love it. Super cool.

Outstanding positive retention on the holster.
