38 Special +P and short barrel 357 Mag ammo for revolver

I didn't realize a 3" revolver was a "Snubbie", 2" for sure, probably 2 1/2". So I guess the standard 4" is the low end of regular barrel lengths.

What 38 Special +P and/or 357 Mag ammo do snubbie (including the 3" barrel length) revolver people like recommend for the K frame Smith & Wesson?

How about a close matching target/plinking round?

Speer 135gr Gold Dot is an excellent .38Spl +P round designed specifically for optimal performance in shorter barrels.

I used to load it in my 1.875" M-642 and is my default load in my 2.5" M-66.

I plink with a reloaded 125gr plated Flat Nose or old factory 148gr Wadcutters. I haven't bought factory .38Spl ammo in a while, but I see a lot of 130gr at the range which would seem to be a pretty fair match for a practice round

I keep my Ruger LCR (.35/.357) loaded with the Speer Gold Dot .38 +P for home defense and when carrying. I just shoot .38 & .357 reloads for target practice.
