Wear a shoulder bag, if you need your hands free while shopping but don't put it in the cart, ever. I'm constantly going up to women in the grocery, or just standing right beside their cart, when I see their handbag in it. They get the point. And I consider it my good deed for the day.

Re: Jeremiah's backpack, same thing. The pack may be locked to the cart, but are the zippers locked too? If you are ten feet away from the cart will you have time to get back to your pack and start unlocking stuff before you can defend yourself?

I just think the whole idea of leaving a bag in a shopping cart is batty and ESPECIALLY if you are carrying. Furthermore, I think there are rules about having your CCW anywhere but on your person. Check with your local sheriff on this.

I agree - thieves are all for crimes of opportunity. It's amazing how "zoned out" some people are at the store [especially when they're busy texting/talking on their phones -- clueless!]

If the bag must be in the cart, at least put it on the lower part of the cart where it's out of reach.

      Agreed!

To OP, I carry with either a vanguard 2 between 12-1, or alien holster, gcode. Carry guns are G26 and 19, or a m&p9c or reg. I have G43 and Shield, just prefer the 26 & 9c for magazines. Dont really notice the diff enough to justify the smaller pistols in lieu of them. Never leave your bag on the cart, carbiner or not! I've seen people who have their keys on them on themselves, and seen people able to lift them with out their knowledge. If you don't like the over shoulder carry, get a cross carry. I usually a camelbak mule mil version, webbing removed, or a MSM Adapt pack, cross strapped. I'm sure everyone here carrys similar things, from j&j booboo first aide kit, I carry a p3x in my bag and a e1d or zetta alpha on myself, tampons, baby wipes, gum, etc in there. I don't usually carry my phone in my pocket, damn thing is to huge! Couple the weird otterbox case, no go! So I wouldn't put my bag in the cart and leave it unattended, firearm inside or not. And I don't feel to comfortable with those loop velc fit to form slide in holsters either, i've tried them in the adapt pack, and I just dont like the idea of weapon not on me. If I run, I've been using a hillpeople chest bag, and in there that goes. Friend on Facebook who does gear, used that dry bag material on the outside mated to cordura for a sling around bag for me, and I just adaptaed a gen 1 raven vanguard for it, haven't had a chance to use it, its been pretty cold, so sweat not an issue, and I just run with sweats and hillpeople bag.

Husband got me this underarmor top from glockstore, not sure why, but I just can't be comfortable carrying like that...

Anyone else have exp with it?

Just saw this as well, https://www.glockstore.com/original-concealment-legging doesn't strike me as secure, and or reliable...

I think the shorts look more secure than the "legging": http://http://www.glockstore.com/und...ression-shorts

leaving a purse in a cart: be willing to have it stolen and lose everything in it.

yes, BonnieB, it is BONKERS to leave a handbag in the baby seat of a shopping cart whether carrying or not!

I might spring for the shorts even just for carrying on the property here at home.

Oh! In home carry, sure! Looks more comfy. But daily running errands, I want more security of carry. Even if my yoga pants and sweats are more comfy :P

A belly band will work with either.

while the belly band would work with either, I think it would print in yoga pants way more than in sweats..........

If a woman is wearing yoga pants , I don't think anyone is looking for a gun print.[emoji4]

After reading this thread I lent my wife a sticky holster and she carried at 10:30 all day today and loved it. She said it felt totally secure, was well hidden by her clothing and her purse and made it east to shift the weapon into her carry purse should the need applied.

I learn something new every day.

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

Musty, I use the Sticky that I bought from Grantar everyday (and usually at the same position that your wife likes.

As an aside, the Sticky also has an added benefit that I've discovered over the Christmas season of eating. I refuse to buy a larger size of jeans so IWB is a motivator to not gain weight! Hahaaa

Shop has been running slow, so Debbie took a job managing a temporary American Girls Store, which along with Christmas ebay activity slowed us down.

So far the first prototype worked well with a Sig 228, but were trying to decide whether the gun should be in a vertical or horizontal draw position?

We haven't worked out production details on sources. Current prototypes start with modifying off the shelf components.

The Glock shorts are well made, but limit you to the five O'clock position. This is weak position, and if your with someone will likely force you to sweep them as you draw. Also is the attack is unexpected, it will not allow you to shoot from retention. It is still a quality choice.

If however you are considering the shorts, why not a belly band. (They aren't actually worn around the belly they are worn IWB and allow you to position the gun anywhere around the body you want. Many use them appendix, but you can also use them at 3 0'clock or if your left handed 8 0'clock and they are relatively inexpensive. They go from very basic at $18.99 to fancy with lace at around $45. They accept almost any size gun.

If your wearing sweats or spandex the nice part of a belly band is they don't require the clothing to support any weight.
