We were at the OC Crossroads of the West Gun Show this weekend and prepared for the worst in light of the news that hit the CCW market Thursday and flurry of activity on the OCSD website.
Well sales were down a little from Del Mar two weeks before, but they were up from OC in January. What was really neat was women buying CCW systems for themselves. Our largest sale was still a gentleman from Northern California buying for his wife, and daughter, but we saw a lot more women shopping with there husbands who I helped well my wife or daughter helped the ladies.
The best part was the intel we got as far as OCSD. Well they are going to revert at least for now, to good cause, the word is that good cause is almost anything beyond just self defense. The OCSD website is asking people to continue to apply. They are letting those of us that have our permits keep them.
We have made the decision to push on with our little CCW store, reaction to our grand opening flyers was great. What we found were there are several unpublished women's groups shooting together in the local area, including our home range of on target. I suspect that we will be doing more concierge events in the near future. A couple are looking forward to seeing our new Bonnie B holster, and our Country Jeans Holster, both of which will owe their existence to this forum.
