    Bad CCW Dream Last Night

    Folks,

You can tell when something is really preying on your mind, when you start to have anxiety dreams about it. This really happened and it happened last night.

Last night I dreamed that I showed up to my CCW qualifying class, went pale, and said to my buddy ElDub,

"Oh, my god, ElDub, I didn't bring the dang GUNS".

Woke up in a cold sweat....

And I dreamed that someone stole my gun. It was one of those dreams that just went on and on. I love that thing; it must be preying on my mind too.

Bonnie, you won't forget anything, and your shooting will be great.

KR H, that is just your gun telling you to keep it close.

BonnieB, elDub would never let you arrive w/o the dang guns!

          I hear 'ya B...

Showed up for a week of beach camping -- w/o my sleeping bag. Loaded for bear, but no bag. I took a good batch of "loser" ribbing that week.
After watching WTC Bldg #7 being razed, and considering it's main occupants..

I stumbled onto this note while checking advanced weapons..
"911 = false flag. WTC 7 was brought down by demolition. 47 floors came down in 6 1/2 seconds - not hit by a plane. Just one of hundreds of absurdities that occurred that day. Wake up".

So Bonnie how did the reality turn out.

By the way, my holster maker says my order should ship Monday. Looking forward to how the jean holster and the Bonnie B turn out. Hopefully by the end of next week I will have them. May not be able to post a picture until the following week because I am shooting (photography) the Long Beach Grand Prix, but I am really excited to see the results.

Hope you took your CCW training and are pushing forward with your permit.

I get bad CCW dreams also, but more along the line where I empty the gun on bad guy and doesn't do a darn thing. I'm empty and the bad guy fires shotgun into my face.

As they say in IDPA you can't miss fast enough to win a gun fight. Sounds like your sub conscious wants you to work on your ability to move, shoot under pressure, score hits, and maintain a distance greater than 50 yards from shotguns. (most people can't hit a barn at that distance)

When I worry about not having effective hits it's because the bad guy has body armor. I always practice the Mozambique drill with respect. The very first IDPA event I shot, my first stage was the Mozam-Freak http://idpa.lrsa.info/scores/IDPA_9-13-14/stage3.pdf I lost count, and lost the fight.

A sage old shooter (knew Custer I think) gave me some advice. I practice often.

All done and well practiced, I'm very confident in my capability and train very often. The problem comes from watching a ton of camera footage of real gun fights and articles of how poor handgun caliber is of being a man stopper and tons of blogs of paramedics, surgeons etc. etc. Cops getting into gun fights and running out of ammo.

Also the fact I never shot at a human, only paper and plastic dummies resembling humans. Makes me question the abilities of actually stopping a threat subconsciously.

In the dream every shot connected and put 5 rounds in the bad guys head and it doesn't do jack and the rest into the heart. The dreams are more along the lines of anxiety and what if's? Like most nightmares are. Just sharing, don't need a shrink. I'm sure when the time comes in real life 5 HP in the head and 15 in the heart will do, if not i'm probably still dreaming.

Very happy to hear that. Until someone tries one, so hard to explain how comfortable they make carrying.

My dream is needing to use the weapon and it melts or just can't fire
