    retiring need part time work

I am 67 and in very good health 6-1 200 lbs. i have been in the auto repair business for 40 years. I opened my own successful repair shop in 1991. i am selling my shop but still want part time work. In or out of the industry OK but i am not interested in turning wrenches for a living. I need no benefits and am very reliable. i am honest and have never spent one night in a hospital. I am a proud ARMY VN vet and never used drugs. a 6 pack will sit in the fridge for a long time. Been married to the same lady for 46 years. I have a spotless record.I live in the chino hills area and only want local work [ 15 ] miles.
My escrow will be over for my shop in mid November. i like using my hands or driving.

Become an Uber driver you can make around a 150 a day on an average Monday-Friday driving people around in your own car sometimes even 3-400 on weekends.

You can work whenever you want and there is nothing to buy or any money spent as long as you have a 2005 or newer 4 door car.

Send me a PM if you have any specific questions.

A lot of people get their real estate license and work part time. Where in CA are you?

Wish you were down in my area. We could use a good, experienced old-timer like you. Working with your hands is a dying art.
Wish I was rich instead of so damn good looking.

            try "security" (rent-a-cop).

Pay is crap for 99% of it, and 90% of it is boring, BUT.....

you will first be a 'floater' especially if you have your own car, and you can see the inside of several completely different operations every two or three days.

From there you can also get semi-inside track on open jobs.

If getting a 'guard card' go ahead and get the whole "Exposed Firearm" permit to save on double finger print charges.
Am I a good shot!?!, YEAH I'M A GOOD SHOT!....i just got bad aim

                work

Well i sold my shop and sitting around petting the cat and watching my wife watch Law and order re runs is not my idea of doing something. i do still ride my street bike, tinker with my guns and take my camping trailer out once a month but i still need more to do and earn pocket money. i can out work many younger guys. If you need a part time worker please PM me. i will drive up to 10 miles from my home in chino hills for something to do. I need NO benefits and will impress you with my work ethic.
                THANKS

Is walking into a business and asking for a job a thing of the past ?. i have applied for many jobs on the Internet and not a single response. Turners, ammo bros, gun ranges, Wall mart, I thought with a clean record, good health, great work history at least finding a 10 dollar Hr part time job would not be hard
                    WRONG.

Since you're a motorcycle guy, look into being a funeral escort rider.
It's not as crazy as it used to be or as many perceive.
Pay is good for the time spent, the work window is normally 9-1 Tue thru Fri. Any Saturday's are normally early only.
It's usually a cash pay deal and they furnish the bike and clothing.
It's not unpleasant work at all. Weather can be a bummer, but an experienced rider can deal with it.

I am opening up a gun safe company in Walnut, about 10 miles away from where you are. We are still at the setting up showroom, warehouse stage, maybe once we are ready, we can try to work something out.
