Have 3 years experience as a professional mechanic. I have extensive experience with a wide array of hand tools and physical measurement tools. Also have some machining experience.

Also, seeing General Dynamics, Raytheon, Northrop-Grumman and SAIC posting lots of jobs that seem tailor fit for ex-military ETs. What systems were you most familiar with during your time in service?

Definitely create a Linkedin profile, and start searching for technician and field service roles. Seems to be a lot of demand for people with hands on with military comm and radar systems right now.

I see you have a 1588 NEC. How is your Metrology skills? I work in a fast paced Metrology lab for a HUGH tech company in Sorrento Mesa. We night be looking for another tech on the 2-11pm schedule.

Lots of jobs in the Austin area for your line if work. It's what I do. Started working a week after submitting my resume on Monster. I prepared for the move a year in advance, only regret is not doing it sooner. And no state income taxes!
