We are looking to fill a full time position as Sales Manager at American Gun Works, INC. located in Glendale, CA. Work schedule is Tuesday through Friday 9:30am to 6:15pm and 9:30am to 4:15pm on Saturday.
You will be responsible for ordering, receiving, restocking, helping customers, and keeping things neat and clean. Answering phones in between helping customers is to be expected.
A general knowledge of firearms, hunting, competition, target shooting, personal protection and sports shooting is very important. You do not need to be an expert in all categories, but have a basic understanding of them.
Must have the ability to obtain a COE "Certificate of Eligibility" from the Department of Justice, or currently have a COE. Would be preferred if the individual has the ability to issue FSC's. "Firearm Safety Certificates"
Strengths the applicant must posses:
Basic knowledge of firearms and accessories. Including California gun laws.
Friendly attitude is a must, but also needs to have a thick skin and the ability to control asituation if a person is not performing safe handling procedures.
Self motivated, and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Attention to detail.
The ability to use a computer to process DROS "Dealer Record Of Sale" In the DOJ website. Also must have experience with ATF form 4473.
Preferred if the individual is familiar with Aim POS Software (Tritech), some training is available, this is not mandatory.
This is a firearms sales business, so you must be comfortable around firearms and understand and practice the safe handling of firearms.
The ability to perform apprentice level gunsmithing is a plus.
