We are currently looking for a qualified Sr. Network Engineer for a contract position. There is a potential of a contract to hire opportunity.
This is a Sr. technical hands-on position responsible for working within the On Demand Delivery team, installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining our global network infrastructure. The infrastructure team is focused on providing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) to the internal Operations team. If you have worked in On Demand Delivery, IT, or Professional Services roles then you would be a possible candidate for this role. Candidates with strong Cisco and Juniper networking experience only. Your time will be spent helping to manage our Cisco Switch/Router and Juniper Firewall/SSL VPN networks. You must be able to do troubleshooting on these devices and have experience working with carriers and datacenters with respect to network outages and maintenance.
Details:
• 180 days contract to start (possible contract to hire)
• $110/hr (you will be 1099’d through an approved vendor)
• Hours Worked: 4pm-midnight Pacific or 4am-12pm Pacific
• Location: Prefer near Somerset, NJ. Otherwise, location independent.
Skills:
• Minimum 5 years experience with Cisco Switches 3750, 4900Ms
• Minimum 5 years experience Juniper Firewalls – ISG1000s and SSG series
1. Experience with Policy and Route based VPNs
2. MIP’ing with Policy and Route Based VPNs
3. Experience using CLI debugging commands
• F5 BigIP Load Balancer Experience a plus
• Must understand TCP/IP and be able to use wireshark / tcpdump to debug and analyze network issues
• Strong communication / documentation skills
• Ability to identify potential limitations in network and server architectures.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with little guidance at times.
• Bachelor’s Degree or global equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline.
Considered a strong “plus” if the candidate is familiar with:
• Nimsoft Infrastructure Monitoring
• ITIL
• Any CA Products including the following:
o CA Software Delivery Manager
o CA Virtual Performance Management (Automation of VMware images)
o CA Wily Performance Monitoring
o CA Audit and CA Cohesion
o CA NSM or CA Spectrum Automation Manager
