    Need electrian

Annoyed that my lights in my garage stopped working. I have a cheap overhead fluorescent light set, 2 bulbs. It started struggling to turn on, and after a while, stopped working. I've been told it was the ballast by my armchair electrician friends, but then they are usually not right about anything.

So whatever is more economical, new light set or a new ballast.

Hoping to barter with ammo, but if the price is right, I pay in cash. Located in Riverside, two blocks from UCR.

Try replacing the tubes first. It is easy to replace the ballast but it might be cheaper to just get a complete fixture.

Unfortunately true. The major hardware stores have boxed "shop lights" that are considerably cheaper than a replacement ballast.

Theire probably right. you can pop the tubes out. Even the cheap fixtures have a trim panel in the middle. pop that off and you will find your ballast.
If the fixtures are good fixtures it may be cheaper to get a ballast. hell We recycle tons of them. Next time Ill pick up a few and if you are in OC you can come pick them up.
Check the tubes first and if that doesnt fix it its most likely your ballast

What kind of ammo do you have to trade?
