Machinist / Gunsmith looking for Part Time Work

2023 was reasonably good to us, but with 2024 rolling around, SB1384 effectively killed us. With that being said, I'm looking for part time work within a reasonable driving distance from El Segundo, CA.

I'm a gunsmith specializing in vintage / antique firearms, but also skilled with most modern firearm platforms, and a machinist with experience in both manual and CNC mills and lathes, 3D printers, laser engravers (fiber & co2), and CNC plasma cutters. I hold a valid 01 FFL with active COE.

Outside of firearms related skills, I'm a certified auto collision repair technician, licensed private pilot (working towards commercial), and classic car technician specializing in aircooled Volkswagens.

Ideally looking for something $30+ / hour, preferably part time so I can continue running my small shop on reduced hours.

I do - I'm primarily a machinist and have my own home based shop doing manual & CNC machining, laser engraving, etc. Most of my clients are local automotive and aerospace companies who have parts needing to be made, but their machines are dedicated to other processes. While I do also provide gunsmithing services for the time being, I'm in the midst of closing out my FFL here to relocate the business to Texas. We don't intend on staying in California for much longer, hence why I was looking for something part time to bring in some income in the meantime before we leave - sometime between July and October.

As far as qualifications go, I got most of my gunsmithing "schooling" from AGI, SDI, and Ashworth College, but a majority of what I know was either self taught or from an apprenticeship I had in my younger days. I specialize in older firearms, but the "bread and butter" is Glocks, 1911's and AR's.
