Search for "ca guard card" on google and find a place near you to get one. When you are doing that you will find all the info you need.

Avoid Boyd and Associates, just got done doing a year for them... absolutely no logistical support, and they dont do armed anymore due to some retard performing a high velocity toe amputation.

Sorry to go off topic, but anyone heard of a security job that pays enough to make rent? I can relocate no problem.

I hear that Indian Casinos pay 20+/hour. I think there are some jobs in San Jose area.

G on monster or any other job search engine. There are so many security job openings on there. Most of them even put you through training or tell you how you can qualify.

                          Check with federal security contractors.
                          Chenega, Twin Pines, etc...

Most start at $20 or so and have a more reputable background. There are several LARGE contracts for the military in southern CA as well as around the world. Most of these have you work in a quasi MP type of roll. Doing DUI stops, etc... is not out of the scope of their duties since you are operating on a military site in acordance with federal regulations.

Good luck. There are a few out of work americans and returning GI's that are looking for jobs right now.

from what i know Indian casinos have tribal police and their security is not armed.although the money still might be decent as a security guard.
im in fresno and none of the security is armed....only the tribal police.
