The Customer Service Associate is responsible for supporting customer requests and inquiries via multiple mediums. This position will support the customer service manager in ensuring exceptional customer service through phone calls, emails, and live interaction at our showroom. This role will include answering basic customer inquiries, handling customer order issues, placing orders, shipping orders, coordinating with wholesale accounts and suppliers.
Responsibilities and Duties
Knowledge in the firearm industry
Handle incoming and follow up customer service calls
Respond to emails in a timely manner
Provide customers with firearms-related products and services information
Enter new customer information and orders into system
Provide exceptional customer service through knowledgeable and respectful interaction
Manage and independently resolve customer issues
Independently troubleshoot product or service problems to resolution
Process orders, forms, and applications
Identify and escalate priority issues
Qualifications and Skills
Availability to work shifts that include Saturdays and Sundays
Requires strong familiarity with the AR-15 / .308 / Glock platform assembly, function, and troubleshooting
* Gunsmith, armorer, gun training, shooting range, or gun store experience preferred
Prior military or firearms-related employment highly preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written required
Must be able to compose professional correspondence with proper grammar and spelling
Ability to independently solve problems and analyze solutions
Team player able to change roles and adapt quickly to changing job needs
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong face-to-face customer service skills and telephone skills
Ability to operate shipping and sales software
Strong PC skills - good data entry and typing skills, internet navigation. Must be able to type 60+ WPM
Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening
Must be able to pass basic pre-employment computer, math, writing, and technical skills exam
Education & Experience:
2+ years experience in customer service and firearms-related occupations preferred
Prior experience and knowledge of firearms required
Must be available for a shift that will take place for an 8-hour period between 6 am to 7 pm. Must be available Saturdays and Sundays.
